While freebies are fantastic, its super-important to support all those designers that keep this community kicking. And best of all – the most fabulous supplies are rarely free. To give your scrapping a lift, get out there and buy stuff! This guide will offer tips & tricks for any kind of shopper, with highlights from the Sweet Shabby Shoppe. So what kind of shopper are you?

Freebie Nut
You’re a daily downloader of freebie elements, quick pages and templates. Your collection grows exponentially, but you’re light on full-size kits you love-love-love.

When shopping, look for….
Simple all-purpose kits you can use any time of the year

Simple tip: Subscribe to shop newsletters so you never miss a sale!

Frugal Scrapper
You’re willing to shell out some cash once or twice a month, but you shop with a small budget in mind. You have to pick and choose frequently, so you have a growing collection of great kits. Still, you don’t seem to have enough of the basics.

When shopping, look for….Paper packs in basic solids and simple textures

Simple tip: Hit up your favorite stores on dollar days to find great basics.

Seasoned Shopper
You have a modest budget and know how to find the sales. Your collection is well organized and full of basic and ‘of the moment’ kits.

When shopping, look for…
Well-designed, reliable seasonal or holiday kits to fill gaps in your stash

Simple tip: Participate in shop challenges to earn points – often redeemable for dollars off your next purchase.

Digi Diva
Your monthly budget for supplies is hefty and you’re a truly a digi-pro. You are a girl who has everything, but you’re still on the hunt for great buys to make those pages pop.

When shopping, look for…
Fresh word art, journaling and frame packs

Interesting tips – pretty straight foward and a common sense approach. I avoid freebies – as I know at this point, if it isn’t from SSD, it probably isn’t going in my shopping cart. there are a few exceptions though :)
