Capture the Season explores the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of the holidays through no-fuss memory keeping prompts.

This week we’re focusing on the people in your life and their own perspectives on the holiday season. It’s all about the love, magic and sweetness of the season!

Assignment #3: The Who

Magic and children have long been intertwined during the holiday season. In medieval Germany, children would place their boots, filled with carrots, straw, or sugar, near the chimney for Odin’s flying horse, Sleipnir, to eat. This tradition is thought to have influenced the modern practices of hanging stockings and leaving cookies and milk for Santa Claus and his reindeer. Capture the season through the eyes of special people in your life. Use candid, in-the-moment photos of your loved ones enjoying this special time of year. Share their stories through their own words.

Template for Week 3

This week’s template is inspired by my absolute favorite holiday movie, Love Actually. As a bonus, its a perfect template to keep in your stash for Valentine’s Day and anniversary photos!

Thanks for the template Jennifer, I really like it! “Love Actually” is one of my favorite holiday movies, along with “Elf”. Thanks for reminding me, I need to pull that DVD out and watch it again!
