Use Tumblr for super quick journaling

Simple Tip Saturdays are all about giving easy ideas for you to grab and run.

This week, I wanted to introduce you to (or remind you of) Tumblr. A tumblr post is a cross between a status update on Facebook or Twitter and a full-on blog post. Many people use a tumblr or tumble-log to share interesting links or images with others.

In fact, I use Tumblr to bookmark some of my favorite layouts for you.  Do you use a Tumblr? How do you use it or what types of things would you want to use it for?

Very cool. There are so many services out there, its hard to keep up! I am setting up a Persnickety tumblr right now. We need a “blog” style system feeding into our site.. trying to find the best solution! Maybe I should just hire you! :)
thanks

It is hard to keep up with all the available options out there! I love this idea of having an exclusive site for scrapping inspiration!! I’ve been using a notebook that I printed some of my favourite layouts out and glued in but I’m really trying to go paperless for less clutter!

Jennifer, looking for a Tumblr tip. Is there a quick way to add a click through link on Tumblr. I emailed the layout photo to my account but had to go in and copy and paste the photo’s url to the post. I think that a great way to remember where you got the idea and obviously what products they used!!

Love Tumblr, I was instantly addicted to it and have now set up a page just for inspirational layouts too! I love having them all in one place when I need some ideas :) I am now following yours so I thought i would share mine too…http://www.tumblr.com/tumblelog/jenhignite-sb

Great idea! I have toyed with the idea of setting up a Tumblr account for awhile. I was using Delicious to link to layouts that I love (for when I need inspiration) but it doesn’t show the actual layout and I have to click all the links to see the layouts. These seems much easier! I am setting up an account now.

Thanks for the tip. :)

Wow! I never thought of using Tumblr in this fashion. I was cutting and pasting the inspiration into my OneNote!!!
I am a Posterous gal myself, I didn’t like Tumblr cross-posting features but I do have a Tumblr log. I just did a test and…wow! Works great for both platforms!
Thanks for the wonderful idea!
