Let go of blogs that don’t inspire you

Simple Tip Saturdays are all about giving easy ideas for you to grab and run.

Yesterday I asked readers on Facebook and Twitter to share their own tips for today’s post. I received one great response from Avital Samet, who owns the Creativity Prompt blog. She shared a great tip on giving digital images and brushes a “nip and tuck”.

This reminded me though of how blogs like Creativity Prompt are so helpful for thinking outside the box. My challenge for you today is to unsubscribe to a blog that is not inspiring you and find one new love, a blog not 100% about scrapbooking, that really gets your mojo going.

I find that reading about other crafty and artistic endeavors, even about writing, helps me re-focus and find new inspirations for my scrapbooking. Try it and let me know what new blog you found!

Did you find this post helpful?

Great idea to share some new blogs – here’s a couple that I read regularly:
http://www.petapixel.com/ – great photo related ideas and gadgets and stuff!
http://webdesignledger.com/ – lots of good free sources for things like textures and brushes. Some are too low resolution to be good for print design (which is what scrapbooking is if you print your layouts) but more and more are high res and they give me good ideas too!
