Welcome to Birthday Week 2012 at Simple Scrapper! We’re celebrating my daughter’s first birthday with special events all week long.
When I sat down to scrapbook with this template, I first thought about using my favorite portrait-style photos that I have framed on our wall. In browsing through the images of this past year, I realized that the casual images told more of her story than the purely adorable ones. This layout (click to enlarge) celebrates her uniqueness and her growth.
I love using digital or paper supplies to create a layout, but sometimes the words and photos don’t really need anything extra. I find this to be particularly the case when I am scrapbooking with a larger number of photos. The only embellishment on this layout is a word art element from Ali Edwards on the large photo.
