Frequently Asked Questions
About the Blog
Who writes this blog?
Simple Scrapper is owned and written by Jennifer S. Wilson (not to be confused with Jen Wilson), a wife and stepmom who woke up one day and decide she had to learn about digital scrapbooking. You can find out more about Jennifer on the About page. She is assisted behind the scenes by Sam Piette and Christie Stearns as well as many friends online and off. Jennifer is proud to have signed the Blog with Integrity pledge.
What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a series of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works. What this basically means for you is that you can subscribe to this blog (and most blogs) using RSS, and then use what is called an RSS reader to keep up-to-date with the newest entries of said blog. One of the most common is Google Reader, which is very easy to use.
Where can I find the link and password for the freebies?
If you would like an all-access pass to Simple Scrapper’s huge digital scrapbooking freebie stash, sign up for our newsletter to get access to the subscribers-only archive. The link will be emailed to you upon signing up AND you can find that information in the daily RSS feed as well.
What is the difference between subscribing by email and subscribing to the newsletter?
An email subscription will include daily updates (similar to subscribing via RSS), whereas the newsletter subscription will include the monthly newsletter as well as other occasional updates that may be of interest.
How do I get featured on your new release highlights?
New release highlights are hand-selected by the staff at Simple Scrapper. We peruse the stores often looking for great new products that stand out to us. Feel free to contact us through the contact form if you have a new product you would like to put up for consideration, but please understand it may or may not be featured.
How do I advertise on your blog?
Thank you for your interest in connecting with our readers. You can check out our current rates at Create More Media.
What is Project 10×12?
Many Simple Scrappers can’t keep up with a photo every single day. And that’s OK. As an alternative, I offered a monthly top 10 project in 2010. At the end of every month, I gave readers a brand new 10 photo template and several prompts to jump-start scrapping. You’ll capture the top 10 moments of each month in one layout. 10 moments x 12 layouts = a year of stress-free memory keeping.
What is Scrappers Give Thanks?
An incredible charity scrapbooking project taking place in the month prior to Thanksgiving. Learn more about last year’s project on our site.

I am confused and hoping you can give me the fact.
I start my pages as 12×12′s at 300. Somewhere I read when you flatten them and resize it at 500 and jpg. at high. I have not printed out any. Am I doing this correctly. I want to order some pages in a book for Mothers day. I do not know if they will turn out. Do you have a site that you would order from. Would like them at 8×8′s. Thank you for your help.
Saving at high resolution should still give you a good print quality, but a size of 500×500 pixels is too small for printing an 8×8. The instructions you read were likely for saving for an online gallery.
If you still have your original PSD files, you want to go to File > Save As. Choose JPG from the drop down and when the resolution slider pops up, choose Max. You can upload these to any printing site and they will do the re-size to 8×8 for you.
Hi, I absolutely love all of your templates and was wondering what your Terms of Use is… Is it ok to make a layout made with your templates into a Quick Page?
My TOU is included with all downloads. Unfortunately I do not allow these for use in quick pages, but I am sporadically available for project work.
