Get organized
Are your supplies scattered across your harddrive, or worse, multiple harddrives? Make 2009 the year to get your digital life as clutter free as your real life. Before you invest in organizing software, start with these basic steps:
- Cull through your collection – delete kits and quickpages you’re over
- Create a simple directory structure for projects, supplies and templates
- Clean up all your supply folders – make sure they are named by the designer and kit name

Choose a favorite designer
If you reserve a wee little budget for your supplies, try loyalty on for size. Be an unofficial creative team member for one designer and purchase her kits throughout the year. Find someone you love and who fits your style. Top it off with an RSS subscription to that designer’s blog, so you’ll always know when a new kit is released.
I created a scrapbook for my son’s first year. I had a great time making it. I began one for my daughter but only got a few pages into it. She’s now 3 1/2. I have a 1 year old and I don’t have a thing for him. I really need to get my but in gear and finish my daughter and start one for my son. Thanks for the great ideas. 🙂
