I’m blogging to you live from the floor of the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. While there are quite of few bloggers here, I imagine I’m the only one writing about digital scrapbooking from a geology conference!

This week at Capture the Season, our 6 week e-course on simple holiday memory keeping, we covered:

Did you tackle this week’s assignment? Here’s the prompt again:

Magic and children have long been intertwined during the holiday season. In medieval Germany, children would place their boots, filled with carrots, straw, or sugar, near the chimney for Odin’s flying horse, Sleipnir, to eat. This tradition is thought to have influenced the modern practices of hanging stockings and leaving cookies and milk for Santa Claus and his reindeer. Capture the season through the eyes of special people in your life. Use candid, in-the-moment photos of your loved ones enjoying this special time of year. Share their stories through their own words.

I have an idea of what photos I want to use for this, but I haven’t been able to capture any quotes yet from my family. My plan is to slyly do that while we’re having Christmas #1 this Sunday. I may even use the voice recording feature on my phone! Even though I’m not perfectly on schedule – that’s OK. I know what needs to be done and have an idea of how I will get there. Getting organized is more than half the battle.

Aud did some amazing work for this week, documenting her family’s Christmas party and (undoubtedly hilarious) re-enactment of the 12 Days of Christmas! Here’s her layout (credits on her blog):

What did you do this week? What’s still on your to-do list as we move into the last weekend before Christmas? Who is with me for a wrapping party this Saturday?
