Use facial recognition to find photos quicker

Simple Tip Saturdays are all about giving easy ideas for you to grab and run.

Today’s tip is all about your family. Do you take a lot of photos of the same small number of people?

The latest photo organization applications, including iPhoto, Picasa and PSE 8 (PC only I believe) offer facial recognition. Let the computer do the work of finding images of your favorite people.

I love gathering an assortment of images of one person or of the same grouping, to see trends in personalities and tell special stories.

Thanks for sharing this! I see it is time for me to start putting my photos in Picasa again. I never did put it on this computer when my other one died.

Oh that would make tagging photos so much easier! Unfortunately I’ve already spent too much time organizing all my files in Adobe Bridge. sigh

I have PSE8 on my iMac and it does facial recognition quite nicely!

Swirlygrammy – That’s so good to hear! I’d done some earlier poking around and it looked like that wasn’t the case.
