Project Supplies

The following supply lists allow you to complete the Before Your Story album project in the size and format of your choice.

The class was developed around a 12×12 album, but this session will introduce a second full project example in 9×12.

When it comes to supplies, you’re encouraged to shop your stash first! If you’re not sure what size would work best for you, just wait and ask for input inside the Before Your Story classroom.

Option 1: 12×12 Album

Uses primarily 4×6 photos along with a few enlargements.

I used the 2013 Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste collection throughout my original album. This collection is still available in Digital Project Life and the Project Life app, but the Project Life mini kit and other supplies from this collection are near-impossible to find. This supply list has been updated to reflect products available in 2021.

Option 5: Any Size Digital Pages

You will need to select up to 80 3×4 cards from one or more collections. The Cut & Paste collection used in my original album is still available via Digital Project Life. In addition to the many 3×4 cards available from exclusively digital shops, Simple Stories also offers good options.

Option 6: Project Life App

This project is well suited to app scrappers. The Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste collection used in my album is available in the app, as are hundreds of other lovely options you could consider.

Option 7: Photo Book

This project can be completed without any traditional or digital supplies. My vendor of choice for such an important project is Printique, but I also find Blurb‘s premium books very nice as well. Printique’s software is web-based and Blurb’s is a computer download.
