Celebrate Monday is a weekly photo exercise designed to help you get back to basics and find more joy in your memory keeping.
Each week, readers are asked to select a photo and story from everyday life according to the week’s prompt to share with us on our Flickr group and/or on the reader’s blog. Then, readers are encouraged to link up their post using an in-post linky. Step-by-step instructions are provided each week, to remind readers of exactly how to participate.
The idea is simple! Strip away the extras for a small moment to center yourself on what is most important in your process. Find the photo, tell the story, and be prepared for more authentic scrapbooking later in the week.
What Do You Think?
Celebrate Monday has been a Simple Scrapper feature for 10+ months now, one that was initially devised as an alternative to overwhelming daily/weekly projects where its too easy to feel behind. By removing the focus on ‘right-now’, scrapbookers are encouraged to embrace non-chronological scrapbooking and find flexibility in the process.
This August, to celebrate our one year anniversary, I want to start fresh with a new-and-improved Celebrate Monday – but I need your help to make it better. How can we tweak these weekly exercises to make it more meaningful and fun for you? What can we do to make it more likely for you to participate?
This project is for YOU. Please leave a comment sharing your thoughts.
