My Favorite Part of the Memory Keeping Process (Q&A)

It’s Q&A month and I’m answering your biggest questions about life, business, and simple scrapbooking.

Q&A with Jennifer Wilson | My Favorite Part of the Memory Keeping Process

What is your favorite part of the memory keeping process?

This is really tough, because I do enjoy it all. I would probably say I like editing photos the least. I would love to have a little photo editing fairy perfecting my images!

If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the very first parts of the process. I most enjoy the concepting of a new layout, mentally bringing together the photos, story, and design before I ever get started creating. It’s a merging of both sides of the brain for me, too.

I like (and spend time on) this starting phase of the process because the challenge of telling a story visually is a lot of fun, like a puzzle that needs figuring out. I have all the pieces and this step gives me a head start on a plan.

I enjoy letting ideas marinate and become more fully developed. Fleshing out a page concept (in my head) before I sit down to scrapbook means that I know where to start and where I’m going.
