I tend to procrastinate about everything, and this is no exception. I bought Heidi Swapp Color Shine because I’d seen it used and loved the idea, then it sat in the bag from the store for weeks before my first feeble attempt. Still need to get it out more and play…
Yes for me as a left brainer that first step in more artistic play like this can be excruciating. It’s funny though once I push through that it always ends up being fun.
It’s funny, Jennifer, how your experience with gelatos reminded me I have the full pack waiting to be used on a Christmas card. But I do need to buy some babywipes. I’m sure those chemicals will produce a different, hopefully more vibrant, look.
Oh, I haven’t seen a baby wipe technique. What’s it supposed to do?
It appears to leave a very intense color when done. You do have to be careful if you have different colors next to each other not to run into another color with the same place on the wipe. And you need to use a q-tip in small close spaces on your picture/design. I’ll be using it on something that has a design already embossed in black. If you go to PaperWishes.com and click on the Webisodes the baby wipes are demonstrated on two shows (July 25, 2012 Gelatos Colors around 4:45 minutes into the show for cleaning your hands using baby wipes and at 12:15 minutes for using the baby wipes to blend. On August 29, 2013 for the Color Me card toppers, at about 16 minutes into the show using baby wipes is again demonstrated.) This is where I learned about the Gelatos.
